Apparently when I was a kid, I made up my own language, making it terribly difficult for anyone to have any idea of what I was going on about. I thought I was clever – everyone else thought I hadn’t developed properly, and maybe I needed to see a speech therapist.

Nothing much has changed – I still make up words, and I stand by their logicality. (see what I did there?) Except now people just think I’m a moron.

Lucky I still think I’m special.

Soo…. we downed another 2 bosses tonight. Iron Qon took us a little bit, but only because our dps was a little low so if we lost one person we’d hit beserk. When we did get the kill we had already hit berserk and our DK tank was last man standing with like 0.5% health when he got him. It was pretty amazing.

And then on Twin Consorts… we one shot it. First time we’ve been in that fight - first time even one of our tanks had seen the fight at all! - and we one shot it. SO awesome.

So we took on the final boss for the first time tonight… didn’t do too badly. Didn’t get him down (that would have been a small miracle). But we did alright.

Quite a successful weekend, though - 4 new bosses down in total. A decent effort.

And another two bite the dust.

I missed updating about Primordius last week as I was heading off for holidays, but we got him down after only 2 attempts. And then tonight, Dark Animus went down. It was past raid ending time but we wanted to give it one last shot. And we got him! And we still have another night of raiding to go. Really, I’m so stoked with this team. Everyone is working so hard and listening to calls and just doing a bloody good job even with my cruddy raid leading. I’m very proud.

In addition to that, today I was made an officer of my guild. Now I has even MORE POWER!! Mwhahahahaaa!!!! *ahem*

So that’s WoW news for today. I’ll upload holidays pics during the week after I’ve had a chance to go through them.

Seville - Spain
I’m cleaning off my memory card in anticipation for my trip tomorrow and found my pics from Seville. This was always one of my favourites. Clearly edited a fair bit, however the rain on the lens and the reflection of it, as well as the general colour of everything - that’s all real. It was late and night and there was a constant drizzle. The light from the cathedral nearby bathed everything in the eerie yellow light you can see here, I just dropped the colour a fraction more to exaggerate it and put a slight texture on it. Best of all, there was hardly anyone around so I managed to get the shot without people. (I hate people in pictures unless it’s actually pictures of people.. thats’s an entry for another day though :) )
Anyway, I always really liked this shot. It’s very flawed and probably only suited to my taste, but I just love it. It reminds me of the old feel that whole city managed to give me when I was there. Truly loved Seville and can’t wait to go back.

I got a yak, hey hey hey hey!

So my boyfriend wanted to make sure that I had something for my birthday, despite buying me safari tickets (!!!!!!!) So he bought me the most expensive mount in WoW - the Grand Expedition Yak, This thing is gloriously obscene. I LOVE IT! It has a little sales guy on board who does repairs, and best of all a reforger. Never again will I have to hearth every time I get some new gear - now I can just do it mid-raid. SO EXCITED!

I really am a lucky girl. <3

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!
I’m turning old next week (the big 30) so to make myself feel better I spent far too much money on some new toys for myself. So excited! I want to take them home and play with them now, not have to sit through another 5 hours of work and having them taunt me all afternoon. *sigh*
Anyway, I’m pretty stoked. :)

Durumu is down!
So proud of these guys. It was the third week we’d been able to have a crack at getting this guy down. Each attempt we got a little closer, and the mistakes were fewer. We had one kill that got down to 6%, and another to 3% which were just devastating. But we persevered and we got it! This is one of the more tricky fights to get (I think!) because the sheer number of mechanics and the boss’s ability to heal itself. But we got there and it was awesome.

Great actors always know when it’s time for the curtain call, so this Christmas prepare for your hearts to break, as we say goodbye to number eleven. Thank you, Matt - bow ties were never cooler. x

My UI
Zeirah did a great post recently about her UI (User Interface) so thought I’d share mine.
My UI is pretty much the same for all of my toons no matter what spec - only difference being that my healers have Grid in the middle. I don’t think many people use it, but I really like Grid - very straight forward. In this screen shot you can see I’ve got beacon of light on a DK, and eternal flame on the warrior, all shown with little icons. Helps me track who’s got what.
My key binds - the two rows at the bottom are things I use throughout the fight, with 1, 2 3 being most commonly used (I click heal on grid so for the most part these don’t get used too much). My “Hands” are all keybound on F keys and are macroed to work on hover, which is great for an emergancy BOP or lay on hands. The block of icons in the middle are my “oh shit” spells. So all my 3 min cooldowns, mana regen etc.live in there next to my grid for quick and easy access.
Skada is on the left - have only just switched but liking it so far. Quick marks is in there, and the brown window is Omen to keep track of threat gen (sometimes a real pain for healers!) Having a few issues with DBM clashing with my buff timer bar - will need to sort that out.
I like my set up though. It works well for me, and because it’s the same on all my toons I don’t feel like I have to relearn anything when I switch. (e.g. 5 is always an interrupt, mouse binds are also speed increases etc).
Anyway, that’s it :) This shot was taken mid-raid in one of our many (many MANY) heroic Horridon attempts today. Man I hate that dinosaur.
